#DCIconnect

The COVID-19 outbreak has affected many countries around the world. Schools in a number of countries have closed in an effort to help contain the outbreak and protect students in affected countries.

Our school communities across the Dulwich family of schools have been similarly affected with extended school closure.

Understanding that many of our parents and students are facing new challenges during this time, DCIconnect is an effort to connect our family of schools and offer support to our community.

Covid-19 Prevention Techinques

According to a press release from the Jiangsu Commission of Health on March 4th, by 0-24:00 3rd March, there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jiangsu province. A Deeper Look at Online Learning

After the Dulwich College International conducted an online teaching and learning survey of all teachers, students and parents last week, our school leadership team also held a ‘Friends of Dulwich’ online meeting on Tuesday to follow up on parents' feedback and provide open discussion. Through the ‘Friends of Dulwich’ session, the parents present were able to gain a deeper understanding of the school’s approach and why it is the best fit for our students.

A letter to Parents About Well Being

We know that the past weeks have been a difficult time for everyone in the Dulwich International High School Suzhou community – students, staff, and parents. Some families may be dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak quite well, but others are probably feeling anxious, scared, upset, or confused by daily news – these reactions are very normal and to be expected. It has also been a challenge to rapidly adapt to a new online learning environment and ensure that your children continue to make progress. We have always believed deeply in the importance of Wellbeing at Dulwich International High School Suzhou; the current and ongoing COVID-19 outbreak has only made this clearer.
