85 UK Early Acceptances 2021

The university application process marks the start of a young person’s journey towards their future life choices.  It is the beginning of their story as they grow into adults.  All kinds of decisions have to be made

• What country shall I study in?
• Which course should I study?
• What is the university like?  
• Do I want to play sports or do I want a strong extra-curricular program?
• Will I like it?
• What job do I want to do when I finish studying?   
• How many university applications should I make?

This time of year is always a stressful, yet exciting time for our year 13 students.  Some are still working to complete all of their essays and get their university applications ready by the deadlines.  Other students have already applied to their best-fit universities and are waiting to hear if they have been accepted or not. No matter what stage of the application process, our highly trained counsellors and pastoral team are supporting the students with their university applications.

We have 8 students who received interview invitations from Oxbridge, and we wish them all the best as they prepare for and take part in these interviews under the expert guidance of our teachers and Dulwich College International. Until 4th Dec 2020, our class of 2021 have received 85 acceptances to UK universities. In the UCAS system, of the decisions that have been announced, 94% are acceptances. In the UK, almost all these acceptances are conditional on final A Level grades.

These include:

• 6 offers from Kings College, London 
• 17 offers from The University of Manchester
• 5 offers from Durham University 
• 4 offers from The University of Warwick

We are now waiting for the release of offers from the Early Decision entries in the Northern American system which are due on 15th December.  Some students will carry on and re-enter themselves into the second round of USA early decisions and other students will just carry on with the normal process.

So whatever stage our students are in, we wish them all the best of luck.  Whether writing their essays or waiting for a response from a university!
