A Warm Welcome to Our High-Profile New Teachers!

As is the nature of all international schools, each year a proportion of our faculty will, for several reasons, move away from Suzhou.  We are fortunate that the percentage of teachers moving on each year is far lower at Dulwich International High School Suzhou than at most other international schools in China. Also, the impact of COVID-19 on our recruitment has been minimal.  We are fortunate that our strong reputation internationally means that we can attract an exceptional calibre of teachers to our school.

With up to 29 qualified applications for each position this year, our leadership team had to invest a lot of time in order to appoint teachers who will expertly support every student to achieve their potential.  The rigorous selection process included multiple interviews and reviews to carefully assess educational background, experience, attitude, teaching skills and personal characteristics.  We speak personally with both the principals and colleagues from the schools where the prospective teachers have previously worked, along with their current school, in order to support our hiring decisions and ensure that we really have the best possible teachers in our school.

Beyond this, we are looking for several unique characteristics, including a proven track record of excellent student learning and exam results, a passion for student success, and a willingness to understand and support every student.  Our teachers must be willing to contribute beyond the classroom, being active both in our Co-curricular programme and as members of the school community.

Below you can find introductions of three of our new teachers, among whom an Alumni of Dulwich International High School Suzhou to join us as a boarding tutor and academic assistant!!
