2023 Alumni Homecoming
In middle of June, our school successfully held the first on-campus "Alumni Homecoming" event since 2020, attracting nearly a hundred alumni. The atmosphere at the event was warm and lively, with alumni sharing their growth and experiences in their respective fields and exchanging recent developments and sentiments with each other and our current students.
To ensure that the alumni had a pleasant time, the P.E. department prepared basketball and soccer matches for them. During the games, alumni ran and fought with passion, releasing their energy on the field. In addition, the counselling department organised an alumni sharing session, where alumni shared their study abroad experiences and insights with our year 12 students. The alumni shared their gains and challenges from studying abroad, which greatly benefited the students. The alumni also encouraged the students to be brave, pursue their dreams, believe in their abilities, and work hard to achieve their goals.
The entire event was filled with warmth and emotion, making the alumni feel even more cared for and embraced by their alma mater. They expressed that they would continue to pay attention to and support the development of our school and contribute to its success.
What made this event even more special was that we had the honour of inviting Mr Shu Chengfeng, the manager of the Human Resources Service Center of Suzhou Industrial Park, to introduce the talent policies and job-related resources from the SIP Suzhou government. After listening to the presentation, the alumni expressed their appreciation and interest in SIP’s investment and efforts in returning talents and hoped that they could have more cooperation opportunities here in Suzhou in their future careers.
As a tradition of our school, we hold alumni events every year, among which "Alumni Homecoming Day" is one of the most important and popular events in our school calendar. In addition, EiM, the headquarters of all Dulwich schools, holds group-level alumni gatherings in different cities and countries around the world every year, allowing alumni to cross time and space, relive their campus memories, and commemorate their youthful years in school.
