Communicating with School
We pride ourselves on being open and transparent in our communication with our students and parents. Parents can find our preferred communication channels below. To ensure all communications reach parents directly, we are unable to use WeChat as an official channel.
Please contact us if you would like to update your email address or phone number that we hold for you on our records. We ask parents not to share their email login details with their children or third parties, including education agents, so that the school can ensure that communication is taking place with parents.
We recommend that families add us on WeCom, where important messages will be shared in addition to emails.

Communications Etiquette
DHSZ is committed to providing a safe, friendly, equal, and welcoming environment where all members of the community treat one another with mutual respect. We kindly ask all parents to follow the following etiquette when communicating with the school or other parents.
We ask that all parents treat members of the community, including teachers, students, and other parents, with respect in words and behaviours, in a way that reflects our school values.
Parents should communicate promptly, honestly, and openly about their children with teachers using the official communication channels outlined above, and work together with school staff and leaders to build a full picture of any situation.
Concerns and requests for information should be raised directly with the school through the appropriate channels.
Parents are also asked to follow school policies when posting any images, words, or comments about DHSZ on social media platforms, and to keep school correspondence within the relevant groups of the community, respecting privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Photos, Filming and Social Posting
DHSZ acknowledges that parents like to take photos and videos of their children at performances, sports events, and other presentations. This is a normal part of family life, and we will not discourage parents from celebrating their children's participation and successes.
Please take particular care not to photograph or film other people's children. Please do not post pictures of other people's children on social media.
DHSZ takes photos and video at some school events, trips, and other activities to document school life. Some of these may appear in school newsletters, on social media, on our website, or in other publications. The purpose is to share the life of our community with a wider audience, and all photography, filming, and social posting is aligned with our safeguarding policy. If you would prefer that your child's photograph or video does not appear in school marketing or communications, please indicate this during the admissions process or contact your AHOY team directly.
Please be aware that DHSZ is not responsible for photos or videos taken by parents or members of the public at school functions and shared via social media or other means.
