Highest A Level Mark in the World!

As an Art department we always have successes to celebrate, and this is one success that we are all very proud of. The prestigious Pearson Award for the ‘Highest Mark in the World’ in Graphic Communication 2022 has been given to Leo L. 

For us, the award is a symbol of dedication, resilience and a determination to succeed. It is a testament to Leo’s hard work and passion for his subject alongside the outstanding support, and guidance that his teacher, Mrs Vikki Gibson provided him over the two years.

This is what she had to say:

"Having one of your students get the award for THE highest A Level mark IN THE WORLD feels like winning an Olympic Gold. Teachers work hard for all their students, but this is especially special as Leo Z started behind the others without an Art iGCSE and did much of his 2 year course in lock down and quarantine hotels. He is now at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Proud teacher moment".

Our amazing staff are highly skilled with well over 50 years of experience in teaching and industry, bringing with us a wealth of knowledge. Our Graphic Communication teacher, Mr Mark Ford has recently been awarded for results ‘Best in Spain’ and ‘Best in Europe’.  In 2021, our A Level results were also outstanding. 100% A*- B for Fine Art, 100% A*-C for Graphic Communication, with an overall 53% A*’s. In context, 78 A* grades were awarded worldwide for Graphic Communication and 9 of those A*’s were from our school. 1 in 8 A*’s were awarded to Dulwich International High School for Graphic Communication.

Our amazing students past and present now reside, or are currently applying to some of the worlds’ leading universities including RISD, Pratt and UAL to name a few and attend courses that range from Architecture to Jewellery design.

We really are a world-leading Art Department with some of the best results in the world!
