DHSZ Students Shine Bright at the IBO
Our students have once again excelled in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad (IBO), a prestigious competition recognized in the international education community. They showcased exceptional academic abilities and sharp scientific thinking, earning several global awards.
Organised by the UK Biology Competitions (UKBC) and supported by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), the IBO serves as an entry-level biology assessment. It evaluates students' knowledge and their ability to solve complex problems while competing with peers worldwide. These impressive results both reflect their academic prowess and provide a valuable advantage for future applications to top universities in fields like medicine and biology.
This year, our students achieved the following:

The Year 11 and 12 students have achieved outstanding results in the recent IBO competition. Among them, a couple of students have been awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. IBO is a prestigious competition designed to challenge and inspire students who are studying biology at a pre-university level. It features a range of challenging multiple-choice and structured questions that cover various topics in biology, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, physiology, and more.
