Exploring the World of Poetry with Mark Grist
Recently, our school had the incredible opportunity to host renowned poet Mark Grist. Students from Year 10, 11, and 12, along with a few lucky Year 13s, participated in inspiring sessions with him, exploring the world of poetry and self-expression.

Mark Grist is a multi-award-winning poet, rapper & storyteller at the top of his game. He's gained 2 International Webby Awards, over 40 million views online for his poetry & rap videos online & he recently starred in both Redbull TV's 'Mark Grist Battles the World".
Mark Grist, once a dedicated teacher, shared his brave decision to leave his steady job to pursue a career as a poet. His journey resonated deeply with students, as he recounted stories of individuals he had taught who transformed their lives by embracing their passions. These stories highlighted the power of commitment and the importance of following one's dreams.
Throughout the sessions, Mark encouraged students to tap into their own creativity and find their voices. He emphasized that poetry can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and connection. By sharing his experiences and insights, Mark not only inspired students to appreciate the art of poetry but also to reflect on their personal journeys and aspirations.
