Mock Examinations 2021

It is very important to prepare students for real examinations by holding mock examinations.   We are holding mock examinations in the weeks 15th through 26th March. 

It is very important that students organize themselves both before and during this time. They should already have created a revision timetable. If not, then they need to create a revision timetable that works for them over the exam period. Students should ensure that they have sufficient break times, times for relaxing and re-charging the brain and times to connect with family and friends. They should also minimize use of electronic devices as these can be very distracting. As parents, it is very important that you support your child during this pressurized time by providing a quiet zone in which they can study. Please support their effort to study their school subjects.

We must also be aware that education around the world is still struggling with closed schools, cancelled exams and universities having to make decisions in many cases, without external grades. We are very fortunate that our external examination season is going ahead, however we must consider the very small possibility that, as a school, we may need to use the mock examination grades as proof of our students’ achievements. Therefore, the mock examinations this year are even more important than usual. Student’s need to work hard and revise. They must be punctual to all examinations and wear the correct uniform and ensure that they bring the correct equipment to the examination room. We are aware that the pressure on students can sometimes feel unbearable, therefore if you think your child is struggling then please encourage them to speak to their Head of Year, who will ensure that they are supported and help to manage their stress and responses.
