DHSZ Scholars Programme: the Dulwich Difference

Recently, our Scholars Programme Humanities pathway students were lucky enough to be invited to an open lecture from the China Studies Department of XJTLU on the theme of gender, masculinity and migrant workers in the Chinese construction industry. The talk was attended by Calvin Q and Tina L, who gave up on evening on KC2 preparation in order to listen to Dr. Leif Johnson, whose background is in the geography of migration.

This was a significant experience for our Scholars students as, during a time of extended Covid restrictions, they have not been able to engage face to face with the university opportunities here in SIP. Our students were given an opportunity to both listen to a complex and highly engaging univerity lecture in English, but also to ask questions in an open forum of university students and faculty. 

We are planning to create a regular cycle of events that will enable a range of students from across our subject pathways to take part in XJTLU lectures, such as the one below, which was open to both Humanities and Science pathway mentees.

The Scholars Programme

The Dulwich Scholars Programme is all about elite university preparation and academic enrichment. The Scholars Programme is by invitation only. Only students with the highest zhongkao scores in year 10 and students with the highest proven records of assessment in years 11, 12 and 13 are invited to join.
