As her ambition grew, she wanted to win more often. In Year 12, she focused on results rather than passion. However, this eagerness to win didn't help her at all. After realizing that, she started to change her mindset and rediscovered her initial love for football. "Losing is commonplace while winning is lucky," she smiles.

Painting and engineering opened doors in Sissy's life

Painting is a catalyst for Sissy. When Sissy was young, she liked to paint on the white walls of her house with a marker pen. The naughty girl was sent to learn how to draw by her parents. Time flies, and she has now been painting for more than ten years, and she has honed her skills. In her personal statement, she said that she taught children how to draw in a painting centre; Sissy contributed to the history club’s publications with her aesthetic taste; the young painter took part in the iGEM competition and contributed to the team with painting, and she opened doors one by one with the help of painting. Moving towards the light, she is confident and much more prepared.

Sissy found best herself at Dulwich

Four years ago, Sissy's parents sent her to Dulwich International High School Suzhou because she couldn't adapt to the public system's pace of learning. She admitted that it was the beginning of her happiness. At the beginning of her life in Dulwich, Sissy was as introverted as she was back in public school. She hardly communicated with the others. Fortunately, the teachers at Dulwich are encouraging, which helped her a lot.
