Sports day 2020

On Tuesday 22nd September, Dulwich International High School Suzhou held its annual sports day. The Morning schedule was a great success in previous years, with some of the student’s competing in the Gym (Non-athletes) and we introduced War Cries this year which were loud and passionate expressions of support for students houses. The Track & Field heats and field events were held at SHSS in the morning with the finals taking place in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, all the students and staff headed over to Suzhou High School to take part in the final events of the day. The Wings plan, Yearbook and Ripple charity groups did an outstanding job selling drinks and snacks throughout the afternoon. All four houses competed with intensity to try to get the most points for their house. The Relay events proved to be favourites among the crowd cheering for their houses to win. The Tug of war event saw Fan, dominating in both the staff and student event. The long relays were especially exciting with the 4 x400 event testing everyone’s fitness and toughness. Champion awards are given to the athletes who won 5 or more events and placed well in all events:
- Junior Girls Champion Minnie W. Raleigh House
- Junior Boys Champion Sebastian L. Raleigh House
- Senior Girls Champion Michelle L. Fan House
- Senior Boys Champion Vincent L. Raleigh House
A huge congratulation to Fan House for Winning the Sports Day Cup!
Sports day is one of the first house events this year and we look forward to more competition in the coming months!
