Student Wellbeing & Counselling

Our full-time school counsellor provides tailored support to students in need covering the following areas:
- Study skills and time management coaching
- Goal-setting guidance
- Emotional counselling and mood regulation support
- Interpersonal relationship guidance
- Personal development and self-exploration coaching
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies
The aim of our social-emotional counsellor is to support students to manage their own emotions, wellbeing, and interpersonal relationships. The school’s counsellor cannot provide ongoing counselling that requires your child to miss lessons or requires a diagnosis or medication. For such instances, parents are advised to seek external support. Our counsellor can offer recommendations for appropriate counsellors that families may reach out to.
Members of our pastoral and boarding staff have also completed Mental Health First Aid training and are available to speak to students. Students can approach any member of the pastoral and boarding team if they wish to speak to an adult.
Ms Hou will also offer Parent Academies for parents on how to support their child. Please refer to our newsletter for dates when these will take place.
