The 9th Dulwich Video Challenge!

Due to the epidemic, unfortunately, last year's Video Challenge was cancelled. As a result, many excellent works were not presented. This year, a new team has reorganized the nine-year-old event at Dulwich with the theme of "Rain Check" (tickets postponed because of rainy weather) and the chance to see last year's work on screen. This year's gala was held in the gymnasium as usual, with the addition of a lottery, which added a lot of fun to the gala.
One of the highlights of this year's Video Challenge celebration was the signature wall. This created a place for teachers and students to sign in. The vast number of signatures reflected everyone's love for video challenge!
The party began with a dramatic light show, then the Video Challenge team showed off this year's entries in a two-minute highlight video.
After opening with two student presenters, Peter Garnhum (our deputy director of student life), made a short speech, in which he commented on how much hard work had gone into the evening and explained the long history of Video challenge that has provided a lot of memories.
There were then a series of wonderful performances by Xface, Jason Z./Lynn X. and the band JPP (Jamie, Please Practice). These performances add colour to the whole evening and showcased the versatility of Dulwich students.

So that everyone could understand the reason why the prizes had been awarded, we played either a short clip from the video or the whole film to showcase how brilliant they were.
The most exciting part was the lucky draw. People who were lucky were excited to get a prize, even including one teacher!

At the end of the evening, all the Video Challenge team members took to the stage and thanked the teachers and students for coming.

With the efforts of the team members, this year’s video challenge was a great success. The Senior students’ films showed a mature understanding of technology, while the junior students’ films were bursting with creativity, which combines to make the competition interesting. Our school is full of talented people! We are all looking forward to our students’ performance next year!
