2025 Annual Treasure Hunt
This Tuesday, the DHSZ campus came alive with excitement and laughter as the annual Treasure Hunt, organised by the student-led charity team Wingsplan, returned with a new storyline and set of challenges.
Led by Students, Powered by Imagination
As one of DHSZ’s earliest student organisations, Wingsplan has long been recognised for turning ideas into impact, using creativity to make a difference. The annual Treasure Hunt is not only their signature fundraising event but also a celebration of teamwork, design thinking, and community spirit.
This year’s event brought together 138 students and teachers, forming 23 teams ready to solve mysteries and overcome challenges. Every detail, from the development of the theme and writing of the storyline to the design of the tasks and the logistics on the day, was planned and executed entirely by students.
What began as an idea soon became an immersive campus experience. For one exhilarating hour, familiar corridors and classrooms were transformed into a maze of clues, laughter, and collaboration.
The Return of Pumpkin Head
The 2025 hunt continued the story of the mysterious “City Pollution Incident.” Participants took on the roles of elite agents from the “Bureau of Anomalous Events,” racing against time to cleanse the city of corruption and defeat the legendary Pumpkin Head.
Each stage tested teamwork, creativity, and quick thinking, whether decoding clues in Escape Room, guessing sketches in Pictionary, or keeping a straight face during Try Not to Laugh. The campus was filled with shouts, laughter, and the sound of collaboration in motion.
By the end of the event, all “agents” had completed their mission: the pollution was purified, the Pumpkin Head defeated, and the city restored to peace.
Twelve Challenges, Twelve Moments of Excitement
From the quick teamwork of Pictionary to the logical puzzles of Escape Room, from the focus required for the Lip-Reading Challenge to the laughter of Try Not to Laugh, each task opened a new door to the unknown.
Some students sprinted through the hallways, others paused in deep concentration as they solved clues, while a few couldn’t hold back their laughter and stamped their feet in delight. For a moment, the entire campus became a living canvas where creativity, wit, and collaboration came to life.
In the end, through the joint efforts of all “agents,” the “pollution” was fully cleansed, the shadow of the “Pumpkin Head” faded, and peace returned once more to the "City".
Learning Through Action
The Treasure Hunt was more than a night of fun; it was an exercise in leadership, cooperation, and resilience.
From concept to completion, Wingsplan members managed every stage with creativity and responsibility, demonstrating what student-led learning looks like in action. Teachers supported the event as mentors and coordinators, ensuring that every moment was both joyful and safe.
Giving Back Through Play
At its heart, the Treasure Hunt remains true to Wingsplan’s purpose: combining joy with generosity.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the team’s annual charity projects, supporting children and communities in need.
Through these efforts, students learn that compassion can be creative and that leadership can begin with something as simple as a game.
The Story Continues
As the final team crossed the finish line, laughter echoed through the autumn evening. The story of the Pumpkin Head may have ended for now, but the journey of Wingsplan continues.
Through this experience, our students once again embodied the DHSZ values of responsibility, collaboration, and creativity, showing that every challenge can be met with courage and that every idea can grow into something extraordinary.
The adventure pauses for now, but imagination never sleeps. We look forward to next year’s hunt and the stories yet to be written.
