Young Musician of the Year 2025

The Young Musician of the Year 2025 competition once again brought together some of the finest musical talent within the DHSZ community. This much-loved annual event not only celebrates the beauty of music but also provides a platform for students to showcase their creativity, artistry, and individual expression.

The Journey Begins: Preparation and Anticipation

Preparation for this year’s competition began weeks in advance, as students refined their techniques and enhanced their musical skills. Several hours were dedicated to practice, rehearsal, and self-improvement. The audition process was both challenging and rewarding, with finalists selected based on technical proficiency, artistry, interpretation, and stage presence.

A Showcase of Musical Brilliance

The final round was a celebration of musical excellence, featuring nine outstanding finalists who performed before an enthusiastic audience of parents, teachers, and classmates. The finalists included five vocalists and four instrumentalists, each bringing a unique voice and musical personality to the stage.

Behind the Scenes: Collaboration and Support

The success of this year’s event was made possible by the dedication and teamwork of the IT Team, the Communications Departmentteachers, and student volunteers. Special thanks go to Mr El-Edroos for overseeing the event and to Mr Fei for his continued support of our young musicians. We are also grateful to the staff members who served as judges, and to everyone who contributed to this memorable evening of music.

A Final Note

As the curtain falls onto another inspiring edition of Young Musician of the Year, we celebrate not only the winner but every participant who took to the stage. Their commitment, creativity, and love of music embody the spirit of DHSZ and remind us of the power of the arts to bring joy, inspiration, and connection to our community.

The event beautifully reflected several of our DHSZ values. Students demonstrated confidence through their stage presence and musical expression and excellence in the dedication and discipline required to perform at such a high standard.
