Design Thinking and STEAM

On 30th November, Dulwich International high school and Stanford Design School partnered together to provide an engaging and exciting learning experience for our students. The theme of the session was ‘Design Thinking and STEAM' and was facilitated by Mr. Ariel Raz, learning experience designer, K12 Lab network, and from the Stanford Design School.

Ariel introduced various stages of Design Cycle and encouraged participants to be innovative and creative thinkers. The activity designed for the session allowed students to think out of box and all participants enjoyed the unique way of thinking to solve problems and work together.

At the end, Ariel answered students’ queries on the design thinking process and Stanford teaching and research model.

We look forward to more events and courses for our students from Stanford University

Students’  Feedback:

David W Year 10: “The session was very interesting and the activities helped us explore our skills of collaboration and creativity.”

Jerry W Year 11: “I understood that in order to solve a problem, the first and most important step is to understand the need and requirements empathetically. After planning, and designing the prototype; testing it multiple times to meet the requirements is equally important. “
