The aim of the cross-cultural literary festival is to expand students’ knowledge of all aspects of literature, above and beyond what is covered in the classroom, with the objective of motivating their interest in reading. While one event may not make a big difference, it has the potential to plant a seed in the minds of students that will grow, leading to an increased interest in literature and the desire to explore further. Our hope is that it will lead them down the path of becoming a lifelong reader, book lover and learner.
