Matthew Smith
Biology Teacher, Assistant Director (Data and Assessment)
Matthew is a British national who graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and completed an MRes in Biomedical Research as well as his PGDE from Strathclyde University. He has taught Biology and Science for 8 years in the UK, UAE and China. He has spent the last 3 years in Nanjing where he was the IBDP Biology teacher for Nanjing Foreign Language School and went on to become the Head of Science in the final year. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit through Kung Fu and Body Combat as well as travelling, sailing, swimming, scuba diving and spending time with his wife and son. He also has a keen interest in developing his Chinese language skills.
