Mrs Heather Pineda
Director of University Counselling
Mrs Pineda leads all university counseling for the group and is responsible for developing our university counseling programme. Hailing from the United States, she holds an MA from Texas A&M University in Educational Counseling and an MA in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Before joining Dulwich College International, Mrs Pineda gained extensive experience in the field of education, serving as a college adjunct for adult English language learners in an intermediate level dual-language (English-Spanish) classroom. She served as the English Second Language Department Chair and as a Middle School and High School Counsellor for a large suburban school district in Houston.
Mrs Pineda keeps her skills and knowledge base up to date by attending professional development conferences and visiting college campuses. A member of the International Association for College Admissions Counseling (IACAC), she also sits on the Admissions Practices Committee for the association. Through the association she is actively involved in educating fellow counsellors and admission officers across the globe via seminars and webinars. Additionally, she maintains her membership in the Texas Counseling Association (TCA), National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), International School Counselor Association (ISCA) and the National Association of Bilingual Educators (NABE).
