One Voice Summit

On the 11th and 12th of October, a group of students from Dulwich International High School Suzhou attended the One Voice Summit Pudong with schools across Shanghai to tackle issues surrounding "Equal Education" and"Zero Waste." Over the course of the weekend, students were involved in workshops, listened to guest speakers and had to design their own service project in collaboration with the other schools. Students learnt how to make their own purses out of discarded plastic bags/bubble wrap, and how to make their own deodorant and toothpaste in an attempt to reduce waste and packaging. It was a challenging and inspiring weekend which encouraged our students to actively engage in discussions in English, present their ideas and creative projects. The students will now feedback to their classmates in Service and Sustainability CCA so we can take further action within the school regarding Sustainability and Service.
