Sustainability On Tour: Visiting Kenya and New York

In order to give students an opportunity to learn about sustainable development in both business and academic worlds, Dulwich International High School Suzhou organised a trip to Kenya and the USA.

Students visited many businesses and schools in Kenya and learned about the problems facing Kenyan people. The students interviewed staff at a sustainable business called Kazuri and learnt about their business model. In Kenya, the students also visited the World-famous, Masai Mara nature-reserve where they saw Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes and Elephants as well as other animals in the wild.

After visiting Kenya, students flew on to America in order to go to the world famous Ivy-league Columbia University in New York, where they listened to lectures from expert professors in the field of development. Students presented their findings from the Kenya trip in a 45-minute long presentation and received valuable feedback from the Columbia University lecturers.
