An Emotional Farewell to Year 13’s

The 23rd of April was the final full day for our graduating class of Year 13 students. The Farewell assembly provides our students with an opportunity to reflect on their time at Dulwich International High School Suzhou and recall fond memories from the past few years.

The assembly started with a message on the challenges of being an adult and the strength of character we expect all of our graduates to show by making good choices and by being good people to everyone around them.

The assembly started with a message on the challenges of being an adult and the strength of character we expect all of our graduates to show by making good choices and by being good people to everyone around them.

Teachers, both past and present, recorded short messages to wish the class of 2021 well, and each tutor group shared a creative video they had made themselves to commemorate their time together. These are unforgettable memories that our students will take with them as they end their time in high school and move on to university.

As is traditional in leaver assemblies across the world the “Most Likely too” awards were announced. This is a tongue in cheek event that resulted in a lot of laughter!

After this, several students performed on stage. The audience then took to the stage to sing nostalgic songs.

The assembly was followed by the formal class of 2021 graduation photo. Students were excited to try on their graduation robes, caps and sash. They quickly realized that keeping the caps on straight is quite a challenge and they will be ready for the formal graduation ceremony on the 16th of June!
