Sarah Tielman

Head of Dulwich International High School Suzhou

Sarah Tielman joined Dulwich International High School Suzhou as the Head of School after almost 20 years working as a teacher, school leader and education advisor. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) from the University of Western Australia, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Asian Studies and a Master of Arts from Murdoch University, Australia.

Sarah began her career in education as a teacher of EAL and Languages (Indonesian) and her success in the classroom saw her promoted to lead two of the largest Languages departments in Australia. Over the past decade, Sarah has held the position of Head of School at both an international school in Indonesia and at a large independent school in Australia. She has a passion for, and experience leading, programs and schools which are future focused and make use of a range of innovative structures, learning technologies and digital tools. In her most recent role, Sarah provided advice to Principals, Boards and executive teams on areas including compliance, change management, leadership, strategic planning, governance and eLearning.

Sarah has moved to Suzhou with her son. They are excited to have joined the Dulwich family and are looking forward to exploring China.
