Shanker Bhatt
Mathematics Teacher
Shanker has over twenty-five years of teaching and leadership experience and has been instrumental in the development of international education in China for over twenty years. He holds a Masters in Math and an MBA Leadership with education focus from University of Liverpool, UK. He is currently completing a Doctorate in Education from the University of Nottingham. He was the founding principal of the International Curriculum Centre at Nanjing Jinling High School, High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China (Renda Fuzhong), founding High School principal at Suzhou International Academy, and Academic Principal at Beijing Luhe International Academy. He was also the Vice-principal at Nottingham University Affiliated High School in Ningbo and Executive Director at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, where he designed and delivered training and education consultancy programmes to teachers and educational leaders. Prior to moving to DHSZ he was centre principal at the IB and Cambridge Centre of Nanjing Foreign Language School. As a teacher in schools, he has taught Mathematics, Further Math, AP Calculus and Global Perspectives to High school students, who studied A Levels, IBDP and AP Courses. He loves reading philosophy, writing poems, singing, and playing badminton.
