DHSZ Enterprise Fayre 2025
The DHSZ Enterprise Fayre is an annual celebration of student innovation and entrepreneurship. It offers a real-world opportunity for students to transform ideas into action by designing, launching, and managing their own small businesses on campus. More than a marketplace, the Fayre serves as a hands-on learning laboratory where students explore product development, branding, pricing, sales strategy, and customer engagement.
Throughout the process, students learn to work collaboratively, analyse market needs, respond to unexpected challenges, and refine their ideas through critical thinking. Whether they are creating handcrafted goods, offering services, or experimenting with new technologies, every participant develops practical entrepreneurial skills and a deeper understanding of how creativity and commerce intersect.
At its core, the Enterprise Fayre embodies the spirit of Dulwich education: encouraging creativity, nurturing confidence, fostering collaboration, and empowering students to grow through authentic experience.
A Record-Breaking Celebration
This year’s Enterprise Fayre was not only the largest in DHSZ history, with over 52 student- and teacher-led stalls, but also one of the most dynamic and engaging.
The event brought together imagination, entrepreneurial thinking, and a strong sense of community, transforming campus into a lively marketplace where ideas came to life.
The Fayre also generated 2,800 RMB for the school’s charity initiative, marking a new milestone in meaningful student-led action.
Imagination at the Centre
Across the event, students demonstrated remarkable creativity and initiative.
Their products ranged from playful Banana Art and handcrafted lanyards to 3D-printed models, personalised accessories, and thoughtfully branded snacks.
Behind every stall was evidence of genuine entrepreneurial learning, conducting market research, designing promotional materials, iterating on prototypes, and managing pricing strategies.
The Fayre served as a hands-on platform where students applied classroom knowledge to real-world contexts, strengthening both their problem-solving and creative thinking.
A Collaborative School Community
Teachers contributed to the vibrant atmosphere as well, offering experiences such as candle-making, engaging boarding house stall, and a popular hotdog stand. Their participation highlighted the collaborative culture that underpins school life at DHSZ.
