University of Pittsburgh DHSZ Partnership
We are please to announce that we are now in the final process of creating a unique partnership with the University of Pittsburgh which will allow us to deliver US college credit programmes through their College in High School system. These courses are fully accredited by NACEP and a transferrable to the vast majority of colleges and universities in the US. This is the first international high school partnership for Pittsburgh and their courses will run alongside with our existing dual enrollment courses offered through Marquette University (more info). DHSZ students in Year 12 will now have the opportunity to enroll at two US universities and work towards getting official college transcripts a full two years ahead of schedule.
Our initial offering will be for the 0500 International Relations course, which is worth 3 transferrable US college credits, and which will be taught as a part of our Year 12 Liberal Arts curriculum. The course will be delivered by Mr. Steve Hodgkin who will be working in partnership with Associate Professor William Spaniel at Pittsburgh.
The Director of the Pittsburgh College in High School programme, Dr. Michael Giazzoni, visited the DHSZ campus on Monday 15 April and met several of our staff and to tour the DHSZ campus.
