13 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze in total.
4 students qualify for the Intermediate Olympiads!
Of the students who achieved Gold certificates in the UKMT Intermediate Maths competitions, we are delighted that 4 students have qualified to take part in the Intermediate Olympiads for their age range. Frida C, Michael X, and Calvin Q (all in year 10) qualified for the Hamilton competition, and Ricardo L. qualified for the Maclaurin competition.
UKMT
The UKMT is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to inspiring future mathematicians. They believe that “School mathematics teachers are best placed to understand the needs of the young people in their classes, and we want to do whatever we can to support them to nurture the next generation of mathematicians”.
Martin Crozier (Head of Maths) explained: “The Hamilton and Maclaurin Mathematical Olympiads are follow-on rounds to the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. They are a 2-hour Challenge consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions. UKMT invite around 600 qualifying students from the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge to take part in the Hamilton (Y10) and Maclaurin (Y11) Mathematical Olympiads"
These Dulwich International High School Suzhou students will be hoping to better last years’ performance by Henry, who was a top 50 winner last year in Maclaurin.

Steve Hodgkin (Head of Counselling) commented that, “10% of this years’ cohort of our students chose Maths or maths-related courses due to the inspiring teaching methods and we have had over 52 maths university offers already!”
