Dulwich MIT Project Seminar Summary

At Dulwich International High School Suzhou, we insist on using the best technology to help students to increase their productivity. For new students who have just entered from a traditional school, adapting to our classrooms and using electronic devices to study has become a new challenge. Therefore, in the first week at our school, our outstanding Dulwich Master’s In Technology members helped new students to use Office 365 to increase productivity. Dulwich MIT (Dulwich Master’s in Technology) was founded in 2018, a non-profit student-led project-based at Dulwich International High School Suzhou. The aim of Dulwich MIT is to help students’ study more effectively and establish healthy relationships with technology by providing quality content about productivity and tools.

In our school, electronic devices play an important role in students’ learning. In the past, students often failed to obtain learning materials and even failed to submit homework because they did not know how to use the software required by the teacher. Therefore, how to use the tools correctly has become particularly important for students to succeed in our high school, and the students can use their own methods to improve their learning.

Dulwich MIT members taught new students how to integrate technology into learning. They taught students how to log in to their school mailbox, and download the necessary learning software, such as Microsoft Teams and OneNote which are often used in learning. Finally, Dulwich MIT members instructed new students how to use school printers and get help from IT. After the tutorials, students learned how to use technology to improve their learning abilities.

Coby. L from Year 10 commented that “After downloading this software, my study has become more convenient. Dulwich MIT's wonderful speech opened up my horizons in the world of science and technology and doubled my productivity. I am very grateful to these experienced seniors for their patient explanations.”
