Orientation and House Hunt

Each year we meet a new cohort of staff and students. They often enter our gates with high expectations, a sense of excitement and a lot of questions! The first week is filled with information which can easily end in information overload. To help staff and students learn more about the school in a fun and collaborative way, we hold an event wherein small groups, students need to find 30 facts about the school in the form of a race.

Our senior student leadership team and Yr 13 worked well with the new students to show, guide and direct them to find the clues.

Raleigh was the winner of this House event.

The Inter-House Dodgeball Competition

This event is chosen as the year opener for several very good reasons. The inter House Dodgeball competition is exciting, it involves all year groups and staff and is a great spectator event!

With 15 players on each side, the mixed teams have 3 min to eliminate the opposition by hitting opposing players with a very softball!

The rounds were fiercely contested with good sportsmanship on show together with strong house support for all the teams.

Raleigh and Fan played off for 4th and 3rd position, respectively. Spenser rose as overall champions with a 7- 5 result in the final round.

Thank you to all the Heads of Houses and to Mr. Harrison, for stepping in for Mr. Webb. We would also like to thank the House captains, as well as the Timekeeper and scorekeepers: Charles Z and Jonathan J.

Continued appreciation needs to be sent to both the operations and the PE department for ongoing help with organizing these thrilling events!
