John Coffey
University & College Counsellor
John is from Ireland. He received a Post Graduate certificate in careers education from the University of Warwick, and has been teaching and career counselling in Chinese universities and high schools since 2007. He formerly worked as a careers advisor in Xi’an Jiatong-Liverpool University in Suzhou. Prior to this he worked as an EFL instructor in various countries after he graduated with an M.Phil. in History from University College Cork, in Ireland. He has been living and working in Suzhou since 2010, where he enjoys life immensely with his wife and son. He has a keen interest in sports, especially football, golf and running. He also has a passion for the study of history and is an avid reader of historical fiction.
